I think South of Midnight is going to be their next big step. When they were acquired Phil Spencer mentioned their potential as a studio and their unique vision they possess. Logically I'm not sure why I think that, because it's been five years since We Happy Few was released. South of Midnight: I'm shocked we saw Compulsion's game. I know we probably won't be playing this until 2025, but if you could take one game to showcase the progress Xbox has made since 2018, it's Fable. It looks downright gorgeous and graphically one of the best games they showed off. I loved pretty much everything about the reveal. ![]() We know that Playground Games has the prestige to pull this off and I couldn't think of a better studio to take the helm. For the past three years since it was announced, all I could think about was the day that we finally get to see this game. So when we found out that Playground Games would be helming a new entry in the franchise, it immediately shot up to my number one anticipated Xbox Game Studios game. I read every piece of info I could on Fable II and Fable III. And it was Fable that became the franchise I looked forward to the most during the 360 generation. A quick rundown on my thoughts on the first party titles shown:įable: As someone who grew up with the original Xbox, there were three franchises in that era that I hold an incredible fondness for: Halo, Project Gotham Racing, and Fable.
